In August, I got to do something I've dreamed of since I was a little girl. I went to New York City and visited my editorial team at FSG Books for Young Readers (that's me in front of their offices in the iconic Flatiron Building) and my literary agency, Levine | Greenberg | Rostan, in a skyscraper with a view of the Empire State Building and a wall of every book they've represented. I had lunch with my editor and her assistant in a wood-paneled restaurant where you could bump into the ghost of F. Scott Fitzgerald. I met with my team at the agency in a glass conference room where the whole city seemed to be at our feet.
